Our editorial approach

A short note on how we gather listings and what we won’t do.

From the source

Listings and dates come from each program’s own website or booking page, or from a published guide. We check details before they go up, and listings show their source and when they were last checked. Always confirm with the program before you register.

No rankings

We don’t rank programs or call anything “the best.” The Edit guides are curated picks — worth a look, not a scoreboard.

Free listings stay free

Any eligible program can be listed at no cost, and free listings stay free. Featured listings, when we offer them, are always clearly labeled “Featured.” They never change a program’s dates or how its status is shown.

How we date things

The Calendar distinguishes Confirmed dates (posted by the program for the coming season) from Expected ones (based on last year, not posted yet). When only a month is known, we say Date TBA instead of guessing a day.
